New Product for thinning hair by Revitalash - Revitalash Hair!

Hi Everyone,

I have some exciting news from Revitalash; they've finally made a product for hair!  It's called Revitalash Hair, and it contains the same active ingredients as in Revitalash.  Most exciting of all, it works!  Their test subjects saw a difference in just two weeks of use!  This product is perfect for anyone who is concerned with thinning hair, men or women.  The same principals apply for post-chemo patients - a wait of about three weeks after treatment.  The ideal male subject will have areas of thinning, but no large bald spots yet.  Just like Revitalash, the follicle has to still be alive for the product to work.

Here's some more information about the product - if you'd like to place an order, you can call us, send an email or order through our on-line store.  I would love to hear your feedback about this product and how it's worked for you.

Great Smelling Dandruff Solutions Here at William Collier Design

Hi Everyone,

I was thinking of all my fellow dandruff sufferers this morning as I experienced the pleasure of using my FANTASTIC smelling Pureology Dandruff/Scalp cure shampoo on my own hair this morning.

As a professional in the beauty industry who interacts with new clients on a daily basis it's important to me that I always look my best….and as a person who has dealt with dandruff & it’s effect’s I have used many different dandruff shampoo’s with widely varying results - I want to tell you about some of the products – in addition to Pureology, that I like best.

The two products that helped me "cure" my dandruff (I have no flakes or other symptoms at this juncture) were the LOMA “Refreshing Shampoo” & Therapro MEDIceuticals “Therapeutic Hair & Scalp Response Conditioner.”
The Loma shampoo provides time-released botanicals and nourishing pro-vitamins with exhilarating peppermint essences from pure Oregon Peppermint Oil. This shampoo is great for all hair types, especially fine, thinning and medium textures.
The Therapro MEDIceuticals line was developed by experienced dermatological scientists utilizing the most advanced pharmaceutical methods and proven herbal medicines. They have been a leader in providing FDA approved scalp and skin treatments since 1994.

In addition to the scalp conditioner - their exfoliating Dandruff Treatment Shampoo is formulated to treat Dandruff, Seborrheic Dermatitis & Psoriasis of the scalp. The Natural oats, loofah and salicylic acid removes excessive skin cell build-up while the Vitamin B Complex provides growth nutrients that help prevent hair loss & baldness and improves microcirculation.

As I mentioned above, I am now using the Pureology “Antifade Complex Dandruff & Scalp Cure” to maintain my scalp health now that it is symptom free.   I particularly like the Pureology line because I have highlights in my hair and all Pureology products have been created specifically to support color-treated hair – the other GREAT thing is that they smell wonderful!

Dandruff - Topic Overview
What is dandruff?
Dandruff is a shedding of the skin on the scalp that leads to white flakes on the head, neck, and shoulders.
What causes dandruff?
Dandruff may be caused by a form of a skin condition called eczema, which causes increased shedding of normal scalp skin cells. Dandruff can also be caused by a fungal infection.1 Hormonal or seasonal changes may make dandruff worse.
What are the symptoms?
Common symptoms of dandruff include white, oily-looking flakes of dead skin in your hair and on your shoulders and an itchy, scaling scalp. Your scalp can be either excessively dry or oily.
How is it treated?
Home treatment often helps prevent and get rid of the symptoms of dandruff.
  • Use an antidandruff shampoo. A variety of shampoos are available, containing different ingredients. Trying several will help you find out which antidandruff shampoo is most effective for you.
    • Shampoo daily to prevent a build up of dead skin cells on your scalp.
    • If an antidandruff shampoo helps stop dandruff for a while but the dandruff problem returns, try a different antidandruff shampoo.
    • Alternate antidandruff shampoos with regular ones if you are worried about the effects of antidandruff shampoos' harsh chemicals on your hair.
  • Rub your scalp. When you wash your hair, lather once, rinse, then lather a second time and rub your scalp vigorously as you shampoo. This will help dislodge excess cells. Be careful not to rub so energetically that you damage your scalp.
  • Let it soak. After you lather the second time, let the medicated shampoo sit on your head for 5 minutes. This will give the antidandruff shampoo time to work.
  • Rinse well. This will help get rid of all the cells you have loosened up during shampooing.

WHO GETS PSORIASIS?
Between 5.8 and 7.5 million people in the U.S. have psoriasis. That’s about 2.5% of the U.S. population. It is estimated that 80% of the patients suffer from plague psoriasis. Psoriasis affects men and women equally and across all socioeconomic groups. Although it may strike at any age, the most common age of onset is 15-20 years with a second smaller peak at 55-60 years.

People with early onset are most likely to experience widespread and re-occurring psoriasis than those for whom psoriasis occurs later in life.

What is Psoriasis? Psoriasis is a chronic, immune system-related disease causing inflammation and damage to involved tissue, primarily the skin – though it can affect the skin anywhere on the body, psoriasis most often appears on the scalp, elbows, knees, lower back, the palms and the soles of the feet. It can also affect fingernails and toenails.

What Causes Psoriasis? In Psoriasis, skin cells move up from below the surface and pile up on the outer layer before they have a chance to mature normally. Usually it takes about a month for cells to move to the surface, but in psoriasis it may occur in only a few days leading to characteristic plaques. Psoriasis is an inflammatory disorder in which a certain type of cell called a
T-lymphocyte becomes overactive and initiates a series of biochemical events leading to inflammation.

Best Treatment/Diagnosis?  See a dermatologist.

Other Alternatives: Mediceutical® Psoriasis Treatment

Step 1. After diagnosing, apply THERARX™ ANTIBACTERIAL SOAP & SKIN WASH direct to the scalp. (Do not apply any water) Gently, cover the entire scalp area. It is not necessary to apply to the hair.

Step 2. APPLY X-FOLATE™  PERSISTANT DANDRUFF/PSORIASIS TREATMENT SHAMPOO directly over the THERARX™ using a sufficient amount to cover the scalp area. For best distribution aerate in palms of hand and gently apply to scalp only. (keep fingernails off scalp)

Step 3. APPLY A HOT WET TOWEL WITH EXCESS WATER REMOVED. Wrap around the head turban style using a dry towel wrap to help keep the heat to the scalp. After the towel has cooled it may be removed.

Step 4. APPLY ENOUGH WARM WATER TO CREATE A SLIGHT LATHER. GENTLY MOVE THE LATHER THROUGH THE HAIR USING CAUTION NOT TO DISTURB THE SCALP AREA. RINSE.

Step 5. RE-APPLY X-FOLATE™    SHAMPOO. THIS APPLICATION SHOULD BE USED FOR CLEANSING THE HAIR. RINSE THOROUGHLY.

Step 6. APPLY THERAPUTIC™ SCALP & HAIR TREATMENT RINSE. USING A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT GENTLY APPLY TO THE SCALP AND GUIDE THROUGH TO THE ENDS OF THE HAIR. RINSE USING WARM WATER.

Step 7. AS A FINAL AND PROTECTIVE STEP, APPLY THERAX[TO ANY AREA OF THE SCALP WHERE PLAQUES HAVE BEEN REMOVED OR REDNESS MAY APPEAR AND ALLOW TO REMAIN ON THE SCALP. THERARX™ MAY BE APPLIED TO THE SCALP AS NEEDED TO HELP PREVENT ITCHING AND REDNESS.

CAREFULLY CHOOSE STYLING PRODUCTS THAT ALLOW THE SCALP TO REMAIN AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE.

THIS TREATMENT MAY BE USED AS OFTEN AS NECESSARY TO HELP KEEP THIS CONDITION UNDER CONTROL. DAILY SHAMPOO PROCEDURES MAY BE USED WITHOUT THE TOWEL WRAP. CONTINUE TO USE X-FOLATE™ SHAMPOO AND THERAPUTIC™ RINSE USE THRARX™ ON AREAS WHERE PLAQUES HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

SOLV-X TREATMENT SHAMPOO MAY BE USED AS AN ALTERNATING SHAMPOO 2 0R 3 TIMES A WEEK. (FOR BEST RESULTS DO NOT SWITCH BACK TO A NON-TREATMENT SHAMPOO FOR THIS CONDITION.
