Hair
transplant surgery
Hair
transplant surgery is a desirable choice for men and women experiencing
mild to moderate hair loss with substantial hair in the donor area
located in the back of the head approximately three inches above the
bottom hairline. The surgeons are state-of-the-art trained and perform
only hair transplant surgery. They provide their skills in a comfortable,
contemporary facility designated to the art of hair transplantation.
Why William Collier Design Represents Hasson & Wong
Follicular Unit Grafting

Stereoscopic dissecting microscope
The recent revolution seen in hair transplant surgery is the result of using small grafts of naturally occurring hair bundles placed very closely and in large numbers. These grafts are obtained by dissecting the donor scalp under the stereoscopic dissecting microscope.

Follicular units ready for transplantation
The grafts are implanted into small incisions in the recipient scalp where when grown out produce the most natural result of any hair transplant technique. This is the principal of follicular unit hair transplantation.
Lateral Slit Technique
It has been said that the lateral slit technique is the single most important breakthrough in the field of hair restoration surgery since the follicular unit.
This revolutionary method for recipient site creation was pioneered by Hasson & Wong and is now used by leading hair restoration clinics around the world.
Hairline recreated using Hasson & Wong Lateral Slit Technique
This is the only technique that is able to duplicate the alignment and distribution of hair as it occurs in nature. The result of this technique is the complete absence of plugginess seen in other techniques including standard follicular unit transplantation.

Temple points rebuilt with the Hasson & Wong Lateral Slit Technique
In addition the angle and direction of hair growth can be precisely controlled allowing transplantation of areas previously regarded as too difficult or unsuitable for restoration, e.g. the temple and sideburn zones.
Dr. Victor Hasson was the guest lecturer at the annual Live Surgery Workshop held in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 2003. This workshop was geared towards the experienced surgeon wishing to learn new cutting edge techniques. Dr. Hasson was asked to demonstrate The Hasson & Wong Lateral Slit Technique at this conference because of its overwhelming success.

Dense Packing
Dense Hairline Representing 70 Grafts Per Square Centimeter
In those patients with sufficient donor density dense or ultra dense packing can be performed to restore hair density to levels previously regarded as unattainable.

Blade Cutter Invented by Hasson & Wong
A key component of dense and ultra dense packing is creation of recipient sites customized to the exact size of the follicular unit of the individual patient. This has been made possible by the invention by Hasson & Wong of a custom blade cutting device. This device is now commercially available and used worldwide by various respected hair transplantation clinics.
MegaSessions
Patients with more advanced patterns of hairloss usually desire to have as much restoration with as few surgeries as possible. At Hasson & Wong we classify all surgeries requiring 2000 or more grafts as megasessions. In practical terms clinics performing megasessions need to have highly trained and greater numbers of surgical assistants and technicians. Training this kind of team is an expensive and time consuming process. For this reason most clinics are unable to perform this type of surgery with consistent results. At H&W we perform this type of surgery on a daily basis.
Our patients enjoy more dramatic results with fewer procedures when we perform these megasessions.

Other advantages of megasessions when properly performed include reduced donor site scarring, increased follicular unit yield, and optimum overall value for the patient. Statements made by clinics of poor yield occurring from megasessions are false and in fact are contrary to our experience on a daily basis at Hasson & Wong.
